Počátky muzea ve Strakonicích 1894 - 1899

Moje bakalářská práce se věnuje projevu vrcholu "muzejní revoluce" ve Strakonicích. Zabývá se založením Musejní společnosti v Strakonicích a její činností v letech 1894-1899, která vedla ke zřízení a následnému zániku strakonického muzea.

Počátky muzea ve Strakonicích se nijak neliší od historie prvních let muzeí v jiných městech. Stejně jako v nich, dal i ve Strakonicích podnět ke zřízení muzea sběr pro Národopisnou výstavu československou a cesta k němu vedla přes muzejní spolek, jehož činnost spočívala v založení a zachování muzea. Strakonické muzeum se nevyhnulo ani obvyklým problémům, jež všechna muzea na svém počátku musela řešit. Ničím výjimečný nebyl ani většinový podíl inteligence a bohatých lidí města na založení muzea.

Jednu zvláštnost však u vzniku muzea ve Strakonicích lze pozorovat. Mezi členy Musejní společnosti v Strakonicích se nacházely dvě ženy. Jedna z nich byla dokonce obsazena do výboru společnosti.

 

The starting time of the Museum in Strakonice 1894-1899

My bachelor work devotes to a demonstration of a peak of "the museum revolution" in Strakonice. It concerns with the foundation of the Museum Association in Strakonice and it's activity in years from 1894 until 1899, that lied to the foundation and subsequently to the decline of the Museum in Strakonice.

The starting time of the Museum in Strakonice don´t differ from history of the first years of museums in another towns. The collectin of materials for the Ethnographie exhibition of the Czechoslovakian gave the main impuls not only for the birth of the Museum in Strakonice but also for another museums. The way to the collectin lied through the Museum Association, of which activity consisted in foundation and continue to keep the Museum. The Museum in Strakonice didn't obviate usual problems, which all museums had to deal with at one's beginning. Not special was the majority participation of educated class and of rich people of the town in foundation of the Museum.

But one uniqueness is possible to notice by the birth of the Museum in Strakonice. Two women occured amongst members of the Museum Association in Strakonice. One of them was even filled a post in the committe of the Association.
