Český učitelský ústav v Českých Budějovicích v letech 1905-1920

Diplomová práce se pokouší přispět k poznání vývoje badatelsky dosud spíše opomíjené školské instituce, která se v první polovině 20. století významně zasloužila o rozvoj vzdělanosti na jihu Čech. Práce je zároveň příspěvkem k dějinám školství v českých zemích se zaměřením na učitelské vzdělávání od roku 1774 do roku 1918-1920.

Práce vznikla na základě studia odborné literatury a pramenů uložených v SOkA České Budějovice a vedle úvodu a závěru je rozčleněna do tří kapitol a řady podkapitol. Nedílnou součástí práce je také rozsáhlý soubor textových, tabulkových a obrazových příloh.

V úvodní části je stručně vymezeno a přiblíženo téma a zhodnoceny prameny a literatura. Další část podává nástin vývoje školství a vzdělávání v českých zemích, kapitola následující pak přibližuje vývoj vzdělanosti v jihočeské metropoli. Poslední, stěžejní část práce zachycuje vlastní osudy českobudějovického českého učitelského ústavu v letech 1905-1920. Analýza této školy je zaměřena na studeny (jejich počet, sociální a teritoriální původ, věk, náboženské vyznání, dosažené vzdělání před vstupem na ústav a přechodné ubytování ve městě a jeho okolí) a na učitele (jejich počet, funkce, rozsah pedagogických povinností a délku působení v rámci ústavu). Závěr přináší stručné shrnutí nejdůležitějších údajů obsažených v textu.

 

The Czech Training College in České Budějovice in years 1905-1920

The thesis tries to contribute to the recognition of the development of explorationally rather neglected educational institution, which significantly deserves to the development of scholarship in the south of Bohemia. The work is also a contribution to the history of school system and teaching education in the Czech countries from 1774 to 1918-1920.

The diploma work originated in research of literature and archival sources deposited in the SOkA České Budějovice and besides introduction and conclusion is divided into three chapters and plenty of subchapters. Extensive set of textual, chart and picture's supplements is an integral part of the work too.

In the introductory part of the thesis there is briefly delimited and outlined the theme of the dissertation and evaluated archival sources and literature. In the next section of the diploma work there is given an outline of the development of education in the Czech countries, the following chapter then explicates the history of education in the metropolis of South Bohemia. The last fundamental part of the thesis presents actual history of the Czech training college in České Budějovice in years 1905-1920. The analysis of the school is geared towards the students (their number, social and territorial background, age, religion, educational background before their entrance to the training college and their lodging in České Budějovice and it's surroundings) and towards the teachers (their number, functions, scope of their pedagogical obligations and length of their service in the training college). The conclusion brings a brief summary of the most important facts from the text.
