Služebnictvo a každodenní život na Konopišti v dobách následníka trůnu Františka Ferdinanda d´Este (1863-1914)

Účelem diplomové práce je pokusit se přispět k výzkumu do dnešní doby téměř opomíjené problematiky konopišťských sloužících Františka Ferdinanda d´Este a všedních i svátečních dnů jeho rodiny na základě vzpomínek několika zaměstnanců a pamětníků. Práce se dělí do šesti kapitol. První kapitola ukazuje následníka trůnu Františka Ferdinanda d´Este i hraběnku Žofii Chotkovou a překážky, kterým čelili při cestě k sňatku. Druhá kapitola rozebírá otázky přestaveb a úprav zámku i ostatních arcivévodových sídel. Třetí kapitola, věnovaná personálu, tvoří jádro práce a je rozdělena do dvou částí. V první jsem se pokusila vytvořit hierarchii konopišťských zaměstnanců, ve druhé části jsem zobecnila informace o služebnictvu. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývala vztahy Františka Ferdinanda k jeho "užšímu i širšímu" okolí. Porovnala jsem pohled zaměstnanců, současníků a regionálního tisku na následníka i jeho rodinu. Pokusila jsem se zachytit komplikované vztahy uzavřeného panství k městu Benešov. Pátá kapitola je pojednáním o každodenním životě arcivévodovy rodiny. Nejprve jsem objasnila dětství, mládí a výchovu jeho tří potomků, dále jsem se zaměřila na atmosféru všedních dnů. U svátečních dnů jsem zachytila církevní svátky a slavnosti, oslavy padesátin Františka Ferdinanda, hony a návštěvy na Konopišti. Podkapitola, věnovaná cestování, postihuje důvody cest, oficiální návštěvy u evropských dvorů a soukromé rodinné cesty. Šestá kapitola se týká tragického 28. června roku 1914, který je zasazen do dění na Konopišti a v Benešově. Nastínila jsem osudy "prvních sirotků Velké války" a jejich pozdější převážně písemné styky s bývalými konopišťskými zaměstnanci.

 

Servants and everyday life in Konopiště during the age of Francis Ferdinand d´Este (1863-1914), the successor to the imperial throne

The purpose of my thesis is to try to contribute to the previously unrecognized research of servants of Francis Ferdinand and common and festival days of his family, based on the memories of a few employees and contemporaries. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first one shows successor Francis Ferdinand, Countess Sophia Chotek and the obstacles they faced in getting married. The second chapter analyzes the question of reconstruction and adaptation of the castle and the archduke's other residences. The third chapter, devoted to the staff, creates the substance of the thesis, and is divided into two parts. The first part is an attempt to construct the hierarchy of employees in Konopiště, while the second part is general information about the servants. The fourth chapter dealt with the relation of Francis Ferdinand to his "closer and wider" environment. I compared the view of employees, contemporaries and the regional press to that of the successor and his family. I tried to capture the complicated relationships of the enclosed estate to the town of Benešov. The fifth chapter is a discourse about the everyday life of the archduke's family. First I brought to the light childhood, youth and upbringing of his three children. After that, my aim was to the typical atmosphere of the common days. I described the clerical festivities, the fiftieth birthday of Francis Ferdinand, his hunting habits and his visits to Konopiště during festival days. The part devoted traveling captures the purposes of the journeys, the official visits to European courts and family's private travels. The sixth chapter relates and connects the tragic 28^th day of June, 1914 to Konopiště and Benešov. I outlined the fate of "the first war orphans" and their later written connection with their former employees.
