"Deník války evropské". Každodennost Velké války na Východě očima českého učitele Františka Pražana

Předkládaná práce mapuje šestiletou pouť Františka Pražana - od mobilizace a pobytu na východní frontě, přes zajetí a pobyt v Rusku, až po návrat domů.

Jádrem práce je oddíl věnovaný každodennímu životu v Rusku. Obsahuje výklad o reflexi ruského města a vesnice, o ruských svátcích, zvycích a obyčejích, popisuje práce, které museli zajatci vykonávat, mapuje ruskou kuchyni a zajatecké stravování. Poslední část je zaměřena na volný čas a rozličné způsoby, jakým jej Pražan trávil. Věnuji se i jiným událostem v Pražanově válečném životě - okamžiku zajetí, vstupu do československých legií, účasti na II. sjezdu československého vojska na Rusi.

Práce je založena na nepublikovaných autentických zápiscích Františka Pražana. Využívám i později přepracované vzpomínky. Pro kapitoly komparativní využívám osobních pramenů - deníků a memoárů - jednotlivých legionářů.

 

The diary of the European war. Daily experience of the big war in the East seen by the eyes of a czech teacher, František Pražan

This dissertation describes a six-year period of Fr. Pražan´s life. It covers his life from the mobilization and his stay at the eastern front, from his captivity and stay in Russia to his return home alike.

The everyday life in Russia forms the core of this dissertation. The work contains the reflection of a russian city and village as well as russian holiday, habits and customs. It also describes jobs that have to be done by the prisoners. You can also learn something about the russian quisine and the catering of prisoners. The last part of the dissertation is concerned with Fr. Pražan´s free time and ways how to spend it. I also recorded several events in his war life - the moment of his imprisonment, his entry to the Czechoslovakian legions, and his participation in the second Czechoslovakian army congress in Russia.

This work is based on non-published materials, Fr. Pražan´s diary. I also used his memories that were later revised. Using other legionnaire diaries was necessary for comparative chapters.
